We’re looking for a Client Engagement (CE) Consultant, Marketing at Tegrita, which is a 100% remote organization. We come together throughout the year, but there is no office to ‘return to’.

What is a Client Engagement (CE) Consultant?
At Tegrita, we do a lot of things differently and making sure our teams get to focus on doing what they do best, every day, is one them. Client Engagement (CE) Consultants are the hub that our entire business relies on to work and a big part of what makes us different from our competitors. CEs are the go-to person for all active work and they ensure all projects and tasks are being completed to the client’s satisfaction and in line with Tegrita's best practices and standards of service.

Another way we’re different is that you are not just a project manager: you care about your teams and clients and you use influence over direction to collaborate to get things done. You are also not an account manager: you aren’t selling anything or focusing exclusively on the commercial success of an account. Instead, you work with an account team to lead your clients and ensure that everything runs smoothly everyday, which naturally makes clients want to work with us more.

What does a CE do?
The first 1-2 months will include training on Tegrita, our ways of working and our technical service delivery. You will also shadow experienced CEs on their clients. By month 3 you can expect to be working independently on some projects, to be aligned to your own accounts and continuing to train on more complex clients and projects. A successful CE will be contributing independently by their 3rd month and independently running their own smaller accounts by their sixth months. Day-to-day you’ll:

  • Manage the end-to-end flow of work for all accounts you are responsible for
  • Create and assign tasks
  • Help manage calendars and communication, resolving scheduling and timing conflicts
  • Lead communication with the client and fellow Tegritans
  • Manage projects end-to-end by gathering business requirements, creating project plans, and managing work to scope
  • Utilize Tegrita process and methodology to ensure the proper project delivery while ensuring clients’ business results, budget, schedule and timeline expectations are met
  • Stay informed of statuses for all active projects and tasks and communicate updates directly to clients on a regular basis
  • Identify and suggest solutions to process issues
  • Stay closely involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions and work closely with clients to ensure the work being done aligns to the client’s business need and that the solution is scalable, maintainable and flexible
  • Create, manage, and maintain client and internal knowledge base(s); be the hub of communication and information

What does a CE earn?
Level of experience and exposure to marketing technology will determine hiring level. We are organized on a 5 level matrix, our current opportunity is open to Level 2 or Level 3.
Minimum starting salary for Level 2 is $70,000 and Level 3 is $90,000 annually

In addition to the base salary for all roles, job-relevant education, certifications, subject matter expertise and over time, demonstrated contributions and tenure will bump up the base salary. Starting salary bumps will not exceed $5,000 and typically average $1,000-$2,000. We also offer monthly bonuses for work hours contributed, enabling consultants to earn an additional $1,000-$7,000 annually directly linked to personal performance. 

What are we looking for in a CE?
We don’t hire arbitrarily based on degrees or number of years of experience. We believe in hiring for talent and we know that experiences are transferable. For CE, we are looking for:

  • someone living and authorized to work in the United States and/or Canada
  • experience in consulting on client teams in strategy, marketing, or another business services industry is required for level 3 and higher.
  • familiarity with marketing technologies and processes is preferred

How do we hire?
We know it’s tough for candidates and workers right now and do our best to balance what we need to identify people who will be successful at Tegrita and what we are asking for candidates. It’s not about jumping through hoops e.g. whether or not you submit a cover letter doesn’t impact your ability to do this job, so it won’t impact your success in getting hired.
We have a transparent and consistent hiring process based on a philosophy of hiring for the talents that will make it possible for our new team member to get to do what they do best, everyday.
We identify these talents through our 5 step hiring process, we notify candidates if we are declining at every stage; we won’t ask you to continue to put in effort when we’ve decided.

  1. Screener - 2-3 min survey that helps us identify any one who could not possibly be successful in this role, whose talents are too far from who would thrive as a CE. It is not a reflection of you, it is a tool to save you time working towards a job you’d probably hate.

  3. Scenario - 1-2 hours in total for a written and video exercise. The scenario is designed to show us how you’d approach the kinds of things you’d be doing every day in this role and to give you a real taste of what your days would entail as a CE.
  4. We never use the work submitted for commercial purposes and we do our best to design the scenario to be unusable to us outside of hiring.
  5. Structured Interview - 30-40 minute phone interview with a 3rd party partner who's an expert in interviewing to uncover talents at work. There is nothing to prepare, this interview helps us understand how you think. The structured interview focuses on identifying the core traits and ways of thinking that make for a successful Tegritan in general and for your specific role.
  6. Executive Team Interview - 30-45 minute video call. On this video interview you will meet our Executive team who will ask you some questions and give you a chance to ask any questions you have.
  7. Peer Interview - On this final 30-45 minute video call you'll connect with another 3 people from the team who you'd be working with regularly. You’ll have the opportunity to assess if these are people you’d want to work with and hear about Tegrita from someone who isn’t in leadership.
